Pictures of those we helped since March 2020
As before, we are equitably helping the people of Sumba and Bali. The 3rd step of our support program for people affected by the economic crisis is underway.
After the first two programs, which have enabled us to distribute vital goods to more than 2,000 families, we are entering the third phase of this gigantic program aimed at providing for the needs of people and children. In and this sense, the foundation needs you! As before, we are helping people in Sumba and Bali.
Dear friends, dear Kawans, dear families,
Kawan Baik Indonesia and Fair Future Indonesia have distributed more than 2,000 “bags” of food, hygiene products, and information to the most impoverished communities in Sumba (NTT) and Bali since this pandemic and since the beginning of this economic and humanitarian crisis. As this situation evolves, needs change, life tries to get the upper hand, but the lack of food linked to the lack of income is more and more present, we see it every day.
We help people from the Eastern part of Indonesia!
Providing equal, equitable assistance to families in need living in Sumba, in the most remote and rural areas of Indonesia, requires another form of organisation. It’s much more complicated to get the goods there, but we figured it out, and we are happy to provide them with 200 bags filled with food and supplies in this chapter!
In eastern Indonesia, thousands of families are struggling or are in extreme difficulties to be able to live decently.
As part of our mission, we are helping the government meet the need for food supplies, as well as providing health products to help prevent and transmit the virus. Another role is to help and encourage activities, communities, and people to resume their activities so that they can provide for their basic needs during this humanitarian and economic crisis. We are helping the government meet the food needs of the people, as well as health products to help prevent and spread the virus.
Another role is to help and encourage activities, communities, and people to resume their activities so that they can provide for their basic needs during this humanitarian and economic crisis.
Diffable (different abilities) communities
In this third chapter, half of the beneficiary communities include people with diffabilities. They are among the most forgotten of this global crisis and have received very little, if any, help at all. Half of the donations will, therefore, go to these communities and meet their specific needs.
Woman Empowerment
We are happy to collaborate with Kunang Jewelry and ToKo Concept Store, as part of the Denpasar women’s prison. The foundation is deeply involved with women in prison to participate in the manufacture of masks. These will then be distributed to the population, in addition to the vital needs that we offer.
The program in 3 crucial points
Thank you very much for your concrete help and your love, to offer a bright future to many people and their families, communities also!

➡️ illustrations by @desar_yuartha to support the Covid-19 Community Care project in its own way. The virus is still spreading in Indonesian and in Bali, threatening not only health but also the economy. Layoffs are increasing and the businesses are closed. Communities and families find themselves without any income. Ayu (@kawanbaikindonesia) & Eli (@fairfuturefoundation) wanted to act, at their level and they were very quickly supported by so many friends and volunteers to provide food, hand-sanitiser, masks, to come and pack the bags, to distribute them to the population the most in need.. Desar Yuartha (@desar_yuartha) a friend who is also a professional illustrator has generously gave some of his time to represent this project in a series of illustrated works. We hope that these gestures can send a positive message of mutual aid and of hope.
See @kawanbaikindonesia for detailed information.

Today we are starting part 2 of our “COVID-19 Community Care” project. This time, we saw bigger and on the longer term.
Bigger because the “goodie bags” filled up a little more to meet the needs of communities and families, we added milk powder for babies and children, hygienic protections and we increased the food quantities. We can still find masks, soap, disinfectant gel and information brochures on COVID-19.
The Crowdfunding link is still open if you want to help us finance this second chapter! Link in the bio ✨
Stay safe, stay home.
With love,

Hi Kawan's!
Some little info on the continuation of the program "Covid-19 Community Care". For more than 2 weeks we distributed 700 packets to 700 families in various regions of the island. But above all, we have started a solidarity movement that will not stop.
These bags containing food for a healthy life, to protect itself from the pandemic with masks, soap, hand sanitiser. People who've benefited from these vital goods are those who live a way below the local poverty line, that is to say without anything now.
They are sand workers, street cleaners, moto-taxi drivers, the elderly, families who live on $15 a month to eat, live, children too. The list of affected people is endless!
We visited their places of life, often sharing moments with them in order to explain to them as best as possible the current situation. They don't receive information from authorities or the government!
Two examples among many others: The moto-taxi drivers (GoJek) came to offer their help and support. They helped us bring the "survival bags" to the most distant people.
The number of volunteers we welcomed was incredible. People cames spontaneously to help, to transform tons of food into bags and single portions healthy, tens of square meters of fabric into masks, sometimes very colourful, or else to bottle the tens of litres of disinfectant mixture for the hands, specially prepared by all of us.
In view of the extremely urgent situation for an ever-increasing number of people, families or communities, the foundation, the friends of the foundation cannot stop there!
Therefore, we will begin step #2 of this action to help as many people as possible, those who are now the collateral victims of this pandemic and who are facing a humanitarian crisis.

COVID-19 Community Care - Jour 1
